Aims of the department

This department  aims to:
 
  • Qualify scientific and technical staffs to be able to deal with the different applications of nuclear engineering that  mainly concentrate on nuclear stations engineering, which increasingly has a role in generating electrical power and provide with a substitute resource to this power.
  • Qualify staffs who are able to prepare an infrastructure for establishing a nuclear station. The study accomplished byAtomic Energy Commission staff showed that there will be a competitor to nuclear choice used in generating electricity system by 2020.
  • Graduate specialized people to recover the deficiency of the technical staff who is able to deal with radial applications in the fields of medicine and industry.

Conditions of acceptance

  • Having a scientific baccalaureate by 2140 out of 2400 degree at least
  • Applying to the system of the university’sacceptance.

Preferable skills

Graduates will be able to:
  • Plan power and economies of stations.
  •  Have a good knowledge in supervising radiant and nuclear.
  • Manage nuclear reactors fuel.
  • Manage nuclear wastes.
  • Have a good knowledge in nuclear reactors safety.
  • Analyze and design neutron and thermo-hydraulicreactors.
  • Use the techniques of computer and automatic control.
