Environment of work
In the public sector:The main task of business studies officer is to prepare feasibility studies for the projects offered by the government. Also, he/she monitors economic data to update the investment plan and put it in reach of local and foreign investors.
In research centers:
The profession is rarely founded in private research centers. These centers are specialized in the economic, trade, marketing, insurance and other areas of studies. Therefore, in these centers the economic data is collected and analyzed based on businessmen and organizations request.
Professional life
He/she can begin his/her career working on the preparation of statistical data about the market and make predictions about supply and demand. He/she and can also display methods and programs of data processing. He/she can later become director of economic studies projects . He/she sometimes needs to work for long hours. Getting the job
Practicing the profession in the public and private sectors required from candidates to have an appropriate degree, such as B.A in economics or other related areas(business administration or statistics). As well as the experience gained through practicing this profession is needed. And it may be required to obtain a Master or PhD degree in economics to work in the Syrian Investment Assembly. Skills
