- In the economic sector:
- Ensuring of accuracy of accounts
- Reviewing the balance sheet
- Checking the balances in trial balance.
- Checking profit and loss, and focusing on the causes of loss.
- Inventorying of fixed assets.
- Inventorying of current assets.
- Ensuring that all accounting adjustments are prepared according to financial statements.
- Inventorying of long and short-term obligations.
- follow-up to reimbursements of debtor.
- In administrative sector:
- Checking and reviewing documents to make sure that they are legal.
- Matching items of current expenditures with estimated plans to determine achieving percentages.
- Examining achievement percentages in investment plans.
- Researching in commitment of the productivity plan and achievement rates.
- Inventorying cash and Cash advance.
- Inventorying of warehouses and follow-up actual number of sample materials.
- Checking of fuel, cars and movement of cars depend on movement plan
- Closing and ratification of import and export correspondence records, department records, and general daily records.
- Reviewing periodic upgrading decisions of public employees

- Working independently from organization in economic and administrative sector.
- He/she followed by the Central organization of Financial Control.
- This profession exercised under the supervision of the Central organization of Financial Control.
- This profession requires official long work hours (with other departments)
- An employee may be required to work at weekends.
- He/ she may be required to travel to achieve the goals of this profession such as ( preparation of accounts and accounts of the sections ...)

Professional life
If a candidate likes to apply for this position he/she should take into consideration the following points:- Government inspector should be employed depending on suggestion of Central Organization of Financial Control
- Initial per month Salary is 20000 S.P
- An employee may begin to work as a governmental inspector. After that he/she can move to senior governmental inspector
- Practicing this career for many years gives a good development opportunity to work as senior government inspector or even as a president of central organization of financial control
- He/ she can be full independence of the administration in the process of examination, evaluation and opinion.
- He/she can obtain certificate of external auditor.He /she can establish a private work office that providing financial counseleesto public or private organizations and economic feasibility studies.
Getting the job
- There is special legislation to exercise this profession in Syria its title is "The regulation of Central organization of Financial Control". No. 64 date 2003.
- He/she can gain this profession through study in faculty of economic (Banking and Finance sciences or Accounting, Business Administration, or marketing department) or faculty of law, after gained certificate of secondary school.
- A student in faculty of economic or law has to study verity courses that related to banking and finance sciences, accounting, business administration or marketing department or law.
- A candidate should have experience in cost accounting within organization.
- He/ she should have experience in accounting business.
- He/ she should have experience and knowledge in Syrian and International Accounting Standards
- He/ she should have experience and knowledge in legislation, laws and regulations
- He/ she should have experience and knowledge in tax systems.
- He/ she should have experience and knowledge in legislation, laws and regulations of administrative and economic sector.
- A candidate should have a bachelor degree in Economic sciences such as (Banking and Finance sciences or Accounting or Business Administration) or law science.
- Good knowledge in job rules and conditions that are applied in the country
- Strong mathematical abilities
- Decision-making skills.
- Experience in using computer
- An appropriate level of languages adopted by the organization
