Nature of work

He works individually to plan, organize, lead and direct food factories, control production processes and activities and follow-up their implementation and evaluation. He/she raises production requirements efficiency, sets up schedules of quantities and specifications of work equipment, prepares technical reports, manages and develops their skills, and develops procedures for vocational health and safety requirements. The tasks are:
  • Defining factory goals, departments and divisions.
  • Preparing production plans.
  • Choosing and integrating production elements.
  • Providing production requirements according to required specifications and quantities.
  • Dividing work load and specialisation for and evaluating their performance to determine training needs to develop their skills.
  • Producing high quality goods at the lowest cost.
  • Making appropriate adjustments to the production plan according to price changes.
  • Reviewing records and achieving greater effectiveness and management efficiency.
  • Conducting studies for economic and environmental efficiency.
  • Studying the market, and defining marketing efficiency.
  • Following-up the quality systems development.
  • Providing means and procedures and health and safety requirements.

  • It is preferable that the graduate of Agriculture Faculty can carry on postgraduate studies for M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at the Department of Agricultural Economics
