Nature of work

He/she works independently to study the land nature and planting plans, oversee the implementation and evaluation, develop the rangelands uses to increase the productivity and determine the pasturelands. He/she prepares bid specification and requirements, prepares technical reports, manages and develops their skills, and procedures and provides requirements of occupational safety and health. Tasks are :
  • Studying the land nature for cultivation and pastures uses
  • Determining the pastureland and planting sites
  • Preparing land reclamation, taking care of programs and pastureland planting.
  • Preparing pastureland programs.
  • Preparing the programs to use forests land for animal grazing.
  • Developing and replanting the pastureland.
  • Preparing the grazing programs by determining the pastoral time
  •  Preparing the range plants seeds collection and propagation programs.
  • Identifying materials and equipment quantity tables and specifications.
  • Preparing bid pre-requisites and technical reports.
  • Developing the working methods by using modern techniques.
  • Evaluating performance to identify their training needs and train them to improve their skills.
  • Providing occupational safety and health requirements

Environment of work

  • Working hours vary, but usually it is 40 hours a week.
  • Work environment is diverse, in the field, and field trips.
  • Working independently is possible in case of experience consultation.
  • Full time job is required.
  • This job can be carried out by men and women.

  • This job sometimes requires travelling abroad for training in order to gain other countries experience.

  • For getting this job, the person has to study in Agriculture Faculty, Department of Renewable Natural Resources and Ecology
  • The students during that should get some related courses about forests and ecology, biodiversity, natural flora and fauna. In addition to his foreign languages, computer programming, engineering quality knowledge.
  • Preferably, Agriculture Faculty  graduated students pursue their graduated program studies in the of Renewable Natural Resources and the Ecology to get their master's and Ph.D. degrees

  • Ability to work on environment protection and endangered environmental species and genetic origins preservation

  • Ability to provide natural pasturelands
  • Ability to provide fodder, medicinal herbs, ornamental plants that can be planted in desserts and grassland areas
  • Ability to work on agricultural land protection from sand progressive
  • Ability to develop pasturelands activities plans and programs, and coordination with the relevant authorities
  • Ability to identify viable development natural pastures areas, prepare the maps, conduct necessary studies and surveys for the improvement and development of natural pastoral species and determine the capacity of those areas.
  • Ability of assembling local pastoral plant seeds and the propagation in pastoral nurseries to provide appropriate varieties for the local environment that are not available in the local market
  • Ability to set up water harvesting programs in pastoral areas
  • Ability to prepare periodic reports
  • Ability to work as a team to pursue deserts projects and pastoral and environmental reserves
