Nature of work
The Architect engineer works solo and within the given authority. He/she studies the functions of internal spaces of the building, and prepare designs and engineering plans of the interior spaces. He/she also oversees the implementation of the project in site. He/she provides consulting and technical services in the field of work and development using modern techniques.The tasks are assigned to architecture engineer as follows:
In the field of engineering projects:
- study the shape and dimensions of the interior spaces of the building, develop technical solutions, and determine the requirements.
- choose the appropriate colors and decorations.
- select the interior decorating materials in terms of quality and dimensions and colors.
- prepare the appropriate designs through the study of the horizontal projections of the floors and ceilings, internal and external interfaces and general location of the vacuum studied.
- put quantities and specifications of the project.
- oversee the implementation of the project in the site.
- In the field of consulting and technical services:
- provide advisory and technical services in the field of work.
- -follow-up and the development of standards and quality assurance, and prepare technical reports.
- develop the working methods.
- evaluating the performance of employees and identify training needs to develop their skills
- provide tools and means of occupational health and safety in the workplace.
Environment of work
Architect Engineer works in an office to conduct studies for internal designs.He/She also works in the project site. He/She also works at a rate of 8 hours per day except at weekends he/she may work long hours especially in the stages of project implementation. He/She usuallly works in a team and sometimes he/she can work individually in the preparation of studies and interior design.He/She must be familiar with other engineering specialities and be able to communicate with experts. Professional life
- Architect engineer can do the internal design solo or in a team both in the private sector or public sector.
- Architect engineer can provide the consulting services.
- He/ She can teach in colleges and institutes of architecture design experience after having a good experience.
- It is possible that this profession requires travel especially in the stages of the project implementation.
Getting the job
- Get a B.S degree in Architecture Engineering. -
- Be a member of Engineering Chamber.
